Had a great time on Friday night – the company I work for (Business Management Software Ltd) lays on a dinner/dance each year.

Part of the entertainment this year, following on from its success last year, was a casino. You get given a 1000 (toy money) to bet at the tables and when that is gone you buy another 1000 for £10 with all the proceeds going to charity.

It was great fun watching my wife, Mary, betting £100 a go on the spin of a wheel – and winning – she is normally the type who bulks at going £2 on the Grand National once a year. It was also very frightening as we are planning a trip to Las Vegas in the near future.
