As I was in the shop for the insurance I took the opportunity to take another look at the Deauville – it was in bits having the extras installed – a security system, heated grips and knuckle wind visors (I know I am a softy but I get cold hands, particularly at 6:30 on a spring morning)

Despite the fact that the rear light cluster, right pannier and several other bits were on the floor, it still looked good – glad it’s not me doing the work, I always ended up with spare bits when I put things back together.
