Another great hour flying circuits; it seems to be coming together and I got in several reasonable landings – still a long way to go to get it right though. The sun was bright and low on the final approach but not enough to bother me. I was up between 19:00 and 20:00 and, although still very warm, the air was settled with no real turbulence.
As the book says, the key to making it enjoyable is to think ahead; get set up, make sure the aircraft is in the correct configuration, get the checks done quickly but thoroughly and relax.
Next week is my last hour of the 10 for this course – hopefully I will get a job soon so I can continue on to the full course.
