I set up a virtual PC and installed the OS; that has to be the fastest and cleanest setup of an OS I have ever done; in around an hour and a half I had the OS on and configured with various applications and roles – a big well done to the development team.
Now if the rest of the evaluation goes as well I can see real reasons for moving.
Just to give myself something to play with I also installed SQL Server 2008; that went really well too. We have come a long way on the install front.
