I am a real fan of Terry’s books, particularly the Discworld stories. While we have been unpacking I have made an amazing discovery; I like his work so much that I actually have two copies of a large number of the books – it seems that over the years I have brought a copy, read it then put it away; then a few years later I have brought and read the same book, often whilst in the USA as most of the duplicates have the American cover.

Now some might ask ‘is his work that forgettable?’ – I say ‘nay’, I often reread his books several times anyway and find them as good a read as the first time, and often picking up something missed the first time round.

Oh well – another dozen or so books for the charity shop – I’ll keep the originals for the next time I want a good chuckle.
