For several years now we have tried to see a shuttle launch when we are in Florida but with one thing and another it hasn’t happened; we did get close once with the count down at 10 minutes but it was scrubbed; it was a night launch too so would have been good.

Anyway we have just watched the night launch of Shuttle Endeavour on NASA TV; you see a lot more detail with the close up cameras but you don’t get the atmosphere or the sound effects and vibration. Really good quality images considering they are pushed over the Internet.

Unless there are any changes that was the last shuttle night launch and, since there are only four more scheduled, it is unlikely we will get to see one live.
