Last week Mary and I went to Ireland for the week; we booked the trip some time ago with me booking the ferry and Mary booking the hotel;

We arrived at Dublin ferry terminal on the way back yesterday morning only to realise that we had the date wrong; we were booked on the ferry the day before.

I have to say Irish Ferries customer service is exceptional – we explained the situation to the guy on the desk expecting to be told we needed to purchase a new ticket; not a problem he said; it will just cost you the transfer fee of £16 as if we had called and asked for a move of booking dates.

I know one thing – we will be using them again.
