Microsoft appear to be going away from the grey 3D appearance of applications; I’ve not had it installed long but there are a few noticeable new features.

The one I like most is in Outlook: when you hit reply to an e-mail the Reading Pain goes into edit mode and type directly; you can still open the reply in a new window if you want to but the new way is much more intuitive.
