The new Microsoft Surface Tablet looks like being released to Microsoft’s own stores on 26th October, the same day as the Windows 8 public launch.

Steve Ballmer has hinted on a price tag between $300 & $800; it would be nice if it was the lower end for the ARM CPU version which would make it a worthwhile buy.

Hmm; wonder what that will translate to when it is released over here:- I bet it isn’t  the £185 – £495 that todays exchange rate would make it.
