Just installed the latest release of Windows 8 – not happy;
The original release upgraded my desktop keeping all my settings; favourites, installed programs, etc.
This one kept some things such as my favourites but did not carry over all my installed programs, including Office. I wouldn’t mind but I went through the same palaver as last time clearing all sorts of files to get the 16GB free space required.
It installed as if it was a new installation leaving 50GB of, now, useless files in a folder renamed as Windows.old
